Yes, the topic was very specialized to the industry and then largely forgotten! I wrote so many words in part to try to provide a more general-interest summary that people could find!

That’s amazing that you have those stereotypes. I assume that press operators and others were generally never allowed to take anything out of plants, but particularly the stereos — the metal wasn’t super expensive, but it wasn’t cheap. Each stereo weighed about 40 pounds? Does that match the ones you have?
